Opening Support

Our goal is to equip you with all the tools you need to open and run a successful operation. Our team of experts in Real Estate, Merchandising, Design, Construction, and Operations are always ready to help you. Site visits are conducted periodically to make sure your store is delivering the premium candy buying experience. Prior to opening, hands on training is conducted in store, and you will have a Franchise Trainer with you during your store opening. 

Ongoing Support

As a Sweet Factory franchise owner, you will receive the benefits of operational support and consultation from our Corporate Support Center staff.  Additionally, there are creative marketing programs to enhance your store's performance. Our ongoing support, service, and quantity discount programs will enhance your opportunity for success. Site visits are conducted periodically to ensure your store is delivering a premium candy buying experience and to coach and mentor you on optimizing the success of the store.


Ease of Operations

Our bulk candy store format is well-suited for owners of all experience levels.  Starting on opening day, our training programs and ongoing support ensure that your location runs smoothly. Product is shipped directly to stores from vendors at company negotiated prices. 

Minimal Labor Cost

Once you open, your location typically requires two employees to operate on a day to day basis. Depending on our owner's level of involvement in daily operations, our format can be flexible to suit minimal labor costs throughout the year.


Low Franchise Royalties

Our low royalty fee allows the franchisee to keep more of their hard earned money without sacrificing the support necessary for continued success. Currently franchise royalties are 5%. In addition, we are not currently collecting an advertising fee, allowing you to utilize your marketing funds directly for your store.

As the premier candy store brand in the nation, Sweet Factory has offered the unique candy store experience for millions of customers for over 20 years. From unique candies from all over the world to nostalgic collectibles, we offer a wide variety at a one-price format - truly delivering the "kid in a candy store" experience.

Ideal Locations

Ideal site locations include Class A shopping malls, lifestyle centers, outlet centers, travel destinations, and locations with high foot traffic. Typical layouts range from 800 sq.ft. to 1200 sq.ft. of retail space.


Site Guidelines

  • Class A Mall or Lifestyle Center with overall mall retail sales in excess of $500/sq.ft.

  • Location size of 800-1200 sq.ft. with a minimum of 18ft of frontage or kiosk opportunity

  • High traffic area, near the center of the mall, or main mall corridor

  • Corner location or locations with great visibility and foot traffic

1. Inquiry and Discussion

Upon contacting us, a representative will reach out to you to discuss details of the franchise, answer any questions, and provide additional information.

2. Request for Consideration

After our initial call, we will provide you with a franchise application. The franchise application will be reviewed and you will be disclosed with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which provides important details regarding the Sweet Factory franchise opportunity.

3. Franchise Disclosure Document 

You will review the FDD and any questions with a franchise representative, and return the FDD receipt.

4. On-site Tour

An on-site store tour will be scheduled. You will gain valuable insight into daily operations with key company representatives.

5. Sign franchise agreement 

Franchise agreement will be prepared and provided for your signature to move forward with the process.

6. Site Selection 

We have established site criteria to properly evaluate locations and we put that expertise to work for all franchise owners.

7. Design and Construction 

We will make available to you at no charge, our standard plans and specifications for a prototypical store, including exterior and interior design and layout, fixtures, furnishings, and signs.

8. Training 

We are committed to providing a training program that covers the following subjects: customer service, store standards, store organization, POS training, opening and closing, employee scheduling, merchandising, project management, office administration, physical inventory, and much more.


9. Grand Opening and Ongoing Support 

Our goal is to equip you with all the tools you need to run a successful operation. Our team of experts in Real Estate, Merchandising, Design, Construction, and Operations are always ready to help you.
